Starting with PortfolioRunner is quite easy.  Since PortfolioRunner is, in firs turn, a risk management tool, it requires you to create a portfolio that would be a subject for risk management.

 

PortfolioRunner measures risks and generates personalized recommendations basing on real-time daily updated market data and your portfolio unique structure. This means you should keep your portfolio up to date, i.e. input to the system operations you made, to receive actual and adequate recommendations.

Although the three pre-defined risk levels (Aggressive, Balanced and Conservative) are commonly enough for most of users, PortfolioRunner provides access to Risk Management Center that allows experienced investors to tune risk level with a set of parameters.
